Otoplasty (Ear Surgery)

Preoperative Recommendations:

1) Please notify the surgeon until the day before surgery, in case of flu, infections, etc.

2) Please check in at the hospital on the scheduled date and time.

3) Keep a fasting period of 8 hours before surgery.

4) Avoid any medication containing acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin preparations in general) or any medication with anticoagulant effect, for at least 15 days following surgery.

5) Wash your hair on the day before surgery.

6) If you have long hair, they should not be cut, but should remain as they are until sometime after surgery. This will help hide the area in the first days after surgery.



Postoperative Recommendations:

1) Avoid exposure to sunlight, cold weather, wind, and local trauma, for a period of 90 days.

2) Please return to the clinic for postoperative follow up, on the scheduled dates.

3) Follow medical prescription.

4) Avoid sleep on your side, over the ear, for one month.

5)Regular diet.
